What We Do

"Facilitating Risk-Informed Strategies for Resilient Economies at the Climate–Development Nexus!"
WORK ETHIC
My decision to pursue a career in Development Economics has been shaped by a meaningful combination of opportunity, personal growth, and a strong desire to distinguish both myself and my country on the global stage. I view this path as a critical foundation for becoming a recognized leader in the field, and I am deeply committed to advancing the idea that economic progress and environmental sustainability need not be in conflict. Drawing on my engagement with both the natural and social sciences, I actively promote an integrated approach in which economy and ecology are mutually reinforcing rather than competing priorities.

During my studies at the University of the West Indies (UWI), Cave Hill Campus, I developed a strong academic interest in International Trade Policy, Industrial Economics, Economic Development, and Public Finance. My enthusiasm for economics—both inside and outside the classroom—was recognized and encouraged by several lecturers who continue to serve as mentors, collaborators, and professional allies. Their guidance played a key role in shaping my analytical perspective and career trajectory.

In an uncertain and competitive job market, I proactively cultivated professional relationships with members of the Green Economy Technical Steering Committee, international organizations, and key departments at UWI—particularly the Department of Economics and the Sir Arthur Lewis Institute of Social and Economic Studies (SALISES). Through these strategic efforts, I secured Research Assistant and Research Associate roles on high-impact projects commissioned by the United Nations System, the Inter-American Development Bank, the Caribbean Development Bank, and the World Bank Group.
Notable projects include:

These initiatives are grounded in strong developmental and policy-relevant contexts, and I consider them among my most significant professional achievements due to their national, regional, and global impact. Collectively, they have strengthened my commitment to evidence-based policymaking, climate-resilient development, and sustainable economic transformation.
